Care, considered
Simple routines help protect delicate shades, natural surfaces and decorative finishes.
A gentle routine
Dust regularly with a clean, soft cloth. Work slowly around joints and decorative elements and support removable parts only as directed. Avoid pulling on suspension cables, rotating fixed arms or placing weight on delicate shades.
Do not spray cleaner directly onto a fixture. Liquids can enter sockets, electrical housings or layered surfaces. If your product permits a lightly damp cloth, dry the surface promptly and keep moisture away from electrical connections.
Match the method to the material
| Material | Care approach |
|---|---|
| Paper or fabric shade | Use a dry, gentle method recommended for the shade. Do not soak, scrub or use household sprays. |
| Alabaster and natural stone | Avoid acidic, abrasive and harsh chemical cleaners. Natural stone can be sensitive to staining and moisture. |
| Glass | Follow the product instructions for removing or cleaning glass. Keep liquid away from fittings and dry carefully. |
| Painted or plated metal | Use a soft cloth and avoid abrasive pads, metal polish or solvents unless specifically approved. |
| Wood | Keep away from prolonged moisture and follow the stated finish-care instructions. |
Replacing a bulb
Check the bulb base, shape, voltage and maximum wattage before fitting a replacement. Use the product’s recommended light source and keep any required clearance from the shade. Never force a bulb into a socket or use a damaged lamp.
Integrated LEDs are different from replaceable bulbs. If an integrated light stops working, contact us with the model, order number and a description of the issue before attempting disassembly.
When to stop using a fixture
Stop using the fixture if you notice damaged wiring, a loose electrical connection, unusual heat, a burning smell or an unstable mounting. Isolate the supply safely and ask a qualified electrician to inspect the installation.
For support, send photographs of the fixture and visible issue, the order number, product variant and any relevant installation details. Do not open electrical housings or carry out wiring work to obtain photographs.
Parts and product support
A clear product reference helps identify the correct shade, fitting or component. Include photographs, approximate dimensions and the original order information when asking about a replacement. Availability and compatibility must be confirmed before a part is ordered.
